DIY Duffel Bag Sewing Project!

SUPPLIES NEEDED

– Main Fabric – 2/3 yard – Lining Fabric – 2/3 yard – Trim Fabric – 1/2 yard – Fusible Fleece – 1-1/3 yards – 3/16″ cording – 2 yards - 20" Zipper

STEP 1

Cut out your fabric and fusible fleece. Main Fabric 2 Main pieces & 2 Circles Lining Fabric 2 Main pieces & 2 Circles Trim Fabric 2 Strap pieces, 1 Bottom panel, 2 Cording strips Fusible fleece 4 Main pieces, 4 Circles, 2 Strap pieces, 1 Bottom panel

STEP 2

Match up each piece of fusible fleece to its corresponding cut of fabric

STEP 3

Use an iron to fuse the fleece to the back of the main pieces, the end circles, and the bottom panel.

STEP 4

Double check to make sure the fleece has bonded. Iron again if necessary.

STEP 5

Lay the two main outer panels right sides together. Sew the bottom together with a 1/4″ seam allowance.

STEP 6

Unfold and press the seam flat.
