How To Sew A Dog Collar

Sew your own cute and sturdy collar for your favorite pup with this simple sewing tutorial.

SUPPLIES NEEDED

– Cotton Fabric – Dog Collar Buckle Kit – Matching Thread – Iron – Pins

STEP 1

Measure your dog’s current collar or measure around your dog’s neck, putting two fingers under the tape measure. Add 12” to either measurement.

STEP 2

Cut a length of fabric that is 3 ½” wide and as long as your final measurement. Cut a length of the webbing the same length as the final measurement.

STEP 3

STEP 4

Now fold the piece in half lengthwise, with wrong sides together and pressed long edges touching. Press with a warm iron.

STEP 5

Insert the webbing so it is enclosed in the folded piece of fabric.
