Camping is a favorite childhood memory, and it’s even more fun with a camping scavenger hunt. Getting away from day-to-day responsibilities, exploring nature, and enjoying time together is what camping is all about. We are looking forward to taking Sadler on his first camping trip this summer with many more to follow.
Keep kids of all ages (and even adults) entertained with this fun scavenger hunt activity. They will all be excited to figure out the clues and run around the campsite to find the next one.
Make it even more exciting by adding a prize for the person or group who completes the challenge first. Everyone likes a little competition, right? This s’mores caddy would come in handy and make a nice reward.
How to Have a Camping Scavenger Hunt
To play, print the list at home before you set out on your camping adventure. Cut on the dotted lines to separate the clues. If you can remember the answers, go ahead and cut those off too. If you want to save the answers for setting up, just rip them off before you hide each one. Hide each clue according to the answer of the previous clue. For example, begin by reading the first clue aloud to all players. The answer is chocolate, so they all run to find the chocolate. The next clue should be waiting with the chocolate, and so on. It’s a lot of fun!
