Supplies for Solid Lotion Bars
- 1 cup Shea Butter
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Butter
- 1 cup Beeswax
- 1 tblsp Creamy Lotion & Lip Additive
- 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
- 1 tsp Glycerin
- 10-20 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil
- 10-20 drops Patchouli Essential Oil
- 10-20 drops Chamomile Essential Oil
- Silicone Rectangle Tree Mold
This recipe makes four solid lotion bars. All the supplies can be purchased on Amazon by clicking the links in the supplies list above.
There are lots of silicone molds to choose from. These have delicate patterns for a feminine look or get silly with emoji molds.
How to Make Solid Lotion Bars
In a medium size bowl, add beeswax. Melt in microwave for 60 seconds and stir. Repeat twice.
Then add the creamy lotion additive. Melt in microwave for 60 seconds and stir. Repeat twice.
Next add coconut oil to the mixture. Melt in microwave for 20 seconds and stir. Repeat until completely melted. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, add shea butter and cocoa butter. Melt in 30-60 seconds at a time, stirring after each, until completely melted.
Combine ingredients in both bowls.
Then add your essential oils of choice.
Now whisk everything together.
Carefully pour mixture into mold, and allow to dry for 24 hours.
Gently pop lotion bars from mold. Then store the solid lotion bars in an airtight container until ready for use.

When you want to use the bars how do you store them after using? Like can you put them in a plastic bag and carry them in your purse.
