How to Make Red Lobster Copycat Cheddar Biscuits
Preheat oven to 415 degrees.
Place half a stick of butter in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. Don’t let it totally freeze, just harden a bit.
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, garlic, and parsley together in a large bowl.
Remove chilled butter from the freezer and dice it into small pieces. Tip: Shred the butter with a cheese grater to make it easier to incorporate.
Incorporate cold butter into the flour mix with a fork, pastry knife or your own two hands. You want it to resembles coarse crumbs. Confession: I didn’t know what a pastry knife was when I was learning how to make these. Here’s the link in case you don’t know either. Don’t be embarrassed!
Stir in shredded cheese.
Make a small well in the center of the flour and cheese mixture. Add milk, and stir with a fork to combine.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits turn golden brown.
Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
These yummy cheddar biscuits pair well with seafood, steak or even chicken. Cook one of these foil packet options in the oven at the same time, and dinner is all set!
